You can join an international team of Ruby on Rails and React developers who work on a web application for our essential client from Hong Kong. The product is already operational and used, with new releases coming about once a month. The application helps large companies improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of workers worldwide – it’s a whole platform of tools that help analyze supply chains and business risks on which corporations base vital decisions for their business. The application contains a set of data about different factories – based on which it can be determined, among other things, whether employees are treated well, paid well, and work in accordance with labor law.
Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications.
Design robust, scalable, and secure features that comply with requirements.
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.
Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
Recommend and execute improvements.
Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
At least 2 years of experience at Ruby.
Fundamentals of SQL (we use PostgreSQL).
Good knowledge of Rails or Hanami.
English – level B2 or higher. You will be speaking with our remote clients from Hong Kong on a daily basis – through emails, chat, and video conferences.
Attitude to work in an Agile environment. We use Scrum.
Knowledge of RESTful services and API design.
