The project

Currently, we are seeking a consultant to work 10-20 hours per week to optimize the corporate website and support the ongoing development of new sections and pages. The consultant will be a valued member of the Marketing & Communications team. You will work closely with Barcelona and California, where our client team is based.

Requirements

Excellent English communications skills and the ability to explain technical issues to team members with less technical expertise.

Extensive knowledge of WordPress ecosystem and theme development.

Availability to meet 1-2 times per week over Zoom for project development and alignment.

Experience developing responsive design websites.

Excellent understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JS, jQuery.

Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working WordPress pages.

Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.

Good understanding of code versioning tools like Git.

Comfortable working with debugging tools like Chrome inspector or Firebug.

Experience with Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager.

Experience improving web performance and pagespeed.

Good communication skills and experience working with designers.

Ability to assist in troubleshooting issues with other platforms in the website stack (e.g., FundraiseUp, Hubspot, Form Assembly, Stripe, Salesforce).

Nice to have

Experience with general marketing concepts or willingness to learn as they relate to the development of the website.

Knowledge of AWS infrastructure.

Knowledge of specific WordPress plugins (W3 Total Cache, WPBakery Web Builder (former Visual Composer)).

Knowledge of design and asset production tools like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator & Figma.
